Application guide

Construction & application method

The sequence below is the standard method statement. Always follow the current technical data sheet issued with your order, and test a small area before full application.

1. Substrate preparation

Remove loose particles and round off sharp corners and internal angles. Dampen the substrate but remove standing water.

2. Mixing

Slowly add the powder component into the emulsion while stirring, then mix for 3–5 minutes and let it stand for 5 minutes before use.

3. First coat

Apply the first coat by brush or roller, working the material into pores and around details. Allow to dry to touch.

4. Second coat

Apply the second coat at right angles to the first, achieving the total design thickness of 1.0–1.5 mm.

5. Curing and protection

Cure for 7 days before backfilling or tiling. Protect from rain and mechanical damage.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Yes — a damp but not water-flowing surface is acceptable. Flowing water must be stopped first with a plugging mortar.

Yes after full cure, using a cement-based tile adhesive. Do not use solvent-based adhesives on a fresh membrane.

Typically 1.0–1.5 mm total for interior wet areas and 1.5 mm for water-retaining structures. Follow your project specification.

Only with a potable-water contact approval for your market. Request the relevant certificate before specifying.
